Summary
Lance has never had a normal rut. He always finds himself to be in too much pain or irritation to conceptualize anything sexual. And to add insult to injury, he doesn't have a soulmate.
His rut and soulmate ordeal have gotten him into way too many problems throughout the years that at this rate, Lance has just about given up on romance in general. That is, until he finds an antidote in his (slightly hated) roommate, Keith.-
An abo x soulmate au that absolutely nobody asked for but I'm still writing it anyway.
Some quick notes: firstly, the soulmate portion works in a way where everyone has a different indicator; not one soulmate connection is the same. Secondly, in this fic, during heat or rut, people do NOT lose common sense; they just get really horny and needy. Also, they can remember everything that happened while they were in heat or rut so it's not like an amnesia thing either. -

Summary
Will Byers always knew he would never amount to much. He supposed his upbringing of constant poverty led him to that mindset. He and his brother Jonathan were similar in that way. After dropping out in middle school, he had taken a position at a car washing business to support their mother and Will himself, and Will wanted to do the same after graduating. Where he and his brother differed was what they did in their spare time. While Will painted and read, Jonathan was getting into street fights. Will tries his best to stay out of it. But, it can be a little bit difficult when his brother is the leader of one of the most feared gangs in the city, the Rooks.
Mike Wheeler had everything someone of the likes of Will Byers did not. He had a nice house to grow up into, a nuclear family, money for college, and a slew of girls waiting for him to take them out. However, even through all of this, he feels like he may collapse in on himself every time he breathes. He hates practically every company he keeps, he can't get himself to like his girlfriend, and he definitely shouldn't be looking at boys the way he does. Oh, and he somehow became associated with the Boulds, who have a long time rivalry with the Rooks. Just his luck.
