Summary

It is owned by the ministry and her boss, Bill Weasley, as head of the Department of Mysteries makes the decision to hire an outside contractor. An expert in structural magic. Much to Hermione's surprise and dismay, this expert is Draco Malfoy. Most surprising of all perhaps is that he shows up on a motorcycle, covered in tattoos, and listening to rock music. She thought she knew who he was, but he continues to surprise her as they work together. Reacquainting themselves with their friends after some distance, only to find that their friend groups have merged right under their noses. It doesn't take long for the tension to build between them. And just where will that lead them? Oh...and he is irritatingly competent. At everything.

“What, Malfoy?” she snapped, still angry she hadn’t gotten the information she wanted.
He pointed his finger at her so she would understand how important this was. “You need to learn Occlumency. If you’re captured, I’m dead.”
She stared back in defiance. “We both are.”
He couldn’t argue with that.
She tossed his wand to the floor and Disapparated with a crack.

Now the feathered dickheads cannot poof in or out. That shouldn’t be a big deal, since Cas can just appear right outside the door and then walk in, or leave the bunker and do what Sam resolutely insists on calling “disapparating,” because he’s a fucking nerd.

"You do," Dean says simply, "you deserve so much."
Cas doesn't know what to say to that, and he doesn't know what to do with this sudden feeling that Dean is going to kiss him. His heart thuds heavily against his ribcage, and he considers his words carefully, rolling his eyes to mask the whirlwind of emotions inside him.
"Like what?"
He's expecting some smartass response because it's Dean, but he just looks Cas over sadly, meeting his gaze as he whispers, "everything," and Cas has to look away because it's too much, and he feels like he's going to implode.
"That's not a proper answer," he mumbles.
"You wanna know what I'd do?" Dean asks, shifting closer, "if I was in his place?" Cas' pulse quickens and he can't bring himself to look at Dean and he whispers a faint okay.
