Returning home, he finds Shane already in the backyard, sipping on one of his nasty concoctions that he swears up and down let him play at his peak. Ilya would be more upset if he had to eat unsatisfying food while learning he’s playing against the team that betrayed him.
Grabbing the bat and hockey stick, Ilya sighs as he pets Anya in passing and approaches his pacing husband. As soon as the glass door slides, those dark eyes, wide and too jumpy for a slow mid-afternoon, settle on him.
“Are you planning to beat someone up?” Shane’s concern is clearly directed at Ilya’s hands. “Or, or are we practicing something?”

Summary
Izuku used to see oil and water, and panic.
Now, he rearranges the groceries he sets on the counter, lining them up by what needs to be prepared, marinated, and chopped, and feels the strain in his neck lessen a little.
His day could have been better. In Katsuki’s words, he’d say it was shit.
He does not linger on the sting in his throat that came from nearly crying at Katsuki over it.
“Five servings should be good for half the week…” Izuku mutters to himself, pressing a black and blue thumb to his bottom lip, still healing and busted. Thoughts begin to trail to plastic gloves kept in some drawer. There’s an ache in his Achilles he needs to ice, and the thought of an ice pack ebbs away as he pivots to the fridge.

Summary
Toshinori considers himself a very fortunate man to have met such a lovely woman over dead fish. He thinks of it often while rinsing away dishes, cleaning the living area, and keeping the toddler, Izuku, from landing on his head most of the day. He should really refer to the boy as his son. Inko has said as much. Izuku is practically enamored with him; it's his own hesitation that things can be this good for such a long time that makes him hesitate.

Summary
With a wobbly lip, Izuku turns back around. He can do this. Even going as far to search “how to seduce you husband away from hot, young ass” like some deranged person. In the end, it’s all for his sanity. This is just as much for Katsuki as it is for Izuku, and he repeats that over and over, and over.
A final snap at the grenade bracer panties, and Izuku exhales when the little one does a little twist.
“Showtime.” He whispers conspiratorially.

The room is silent except for the beeping of monitors.
In 2023, Shane takes a bad hit on the ice. When he wakes up, the last thing he remembers is a tuna melt.
There’s a lot to get used to.
