Settling down doesnt mean giving up on past fun, but sometimes the drive just runs out. And thats where Shika finds herself. Someone who used to go on adventures and escape death at least once a month, is now just living a day to day life with little to no fun or excitement. While having a home is nice, giving up all of her past fun and not replacing them with anything new is kind of giving her a bit of cabin fever.

Kodo Hayashi always loved to perform and learned from her dad about sleight of hand and misdirection. But sadly, not all dreams are meant to come true, so when becoming a Magician failed, she turned to JoJa for a job, something to pay the bills and to keep a roof over her head. After a couple years of working there, she finally had enough and needed a change in her life, one for the better, so she turned to the letter her Granpa gave her before he passed.
Guess its time for a brand new start to a new Beginning, following in her Grandpa's footsteps and dropping everything to move to a new area and try again at life while also doing something new, becoming a Farmer.

You whipped around, the dagger you kept under your pillow aimed at the owner of the voice. Astarion chuckled, hands raised to show he was unarmed. You sighed and dropped your weapon.
“A really bad dream, then, or are you always so quick on the draw?”
You stay quiet and wipe the sweat off your brow and upper lip. There was a stream nearby… but the thought of being alone out here at night terrified you. Sleeping out in the open with another vampire mere feet away was bad enough.
But there was nothing else you could do now to distract your mind. Her eyes, her smile were burned into the forefront of your mind, taunting you, beckoning you back to her.

Summary
You weren't a technician, you weren't a security guard, you weren't a daycare assistant. You're just an employee. Staff. The ‘jack-of-all-trades’ employee with mediocre at best skills and specialty in none, tasked with doing miscellaneous jobs that robots couldn't do and human staff couldn't care to. The job is unpredictable, but it pays good and it's relatively easy.
Except for the part where all the animatronics are more sentient than you thought, and you're roped into a mystery surrounding the Daycare Attendants, who are bit too curious about you for your liking.

It was hard for someone like him, the great Raihan, to tragically lose and move on. In battle, in argument… anything. Defeat wasn't an option, at least not without negotiation where something was undoubtedly gained on his end. However, watching a fellow leader purposely losing without reason? even if it's just practice tournaments?
Perhaps stoking the fire will ignite the sparks needed to set the legendary man of Fire ablaze.

Note: This fic starts in a pretty dark headspace but ends in a higher one. Just a promise, since the first two chapters are pretty heavy. <3
