Breaking News: Hell’s most insufferable radio personality is acting suspiciously sentimental, and Lucifer is somehow always nearby when it happens. What begins as constant bickering, inconvenient proximity and mutual annoyance slowly spirals into something neither of them can explain without immediately lying about it. Between sharp-tongued arguments and far too many moments of lingering eye contact, denial starts looking less like a defense mechanism and more like….foreplay? Unfortunately for everyone around, whatever this is, it’s only going to get worse.

“You… help me,” she echoes back, her voice a bit hollow.
He nods, squeezing softly. “I think I can.”
Lilith looks at him once more. Her eyes are glazed over, and he can’t discern her emotions. But her voice sounds hopeful. Like she could climb higher, up into the branches. Maybe he could follow.
“I hope you’re right.”
