Irene was certain she was meant to die.
She was supposed to have drowned in that river, yet by some miracle she had been saved and wound up awakening deep within Yokmir Forest's lake. Initially mistaken as the royal "Arthur" the town of Selphia had been waiting for, she's handed responsibilities she wanted absolutely nothing to do with. Lost in this new world, knowing next to nothing about it or how the magic works, she has her hands full- especially since she can't seem to find a way home. Her only real clues involve the strange boy at her side- one named Lest, who she bears a strong resemblance to, and the runes- whose light so resembled the one she saw during the accident.
Will she ever find a way home? And if not, can she really accept her new life in this place? Can she really leave behind everyone and everything she's ever known? It doesn't seem that easy. But with a certain silver-tongued guardian constantly causing mischief and messing with her heart, it might not be so difficult. She just wished things weren't so complicated, and that he could actually say what he meant most of the time. Their situations were quite similar after all, the two even having a name in common when speaking of their pasts.
