Summary
Ever since Eira took the first breath of her second life, everything had been about death. Her resurrection left her skin a pale, hypothermic blue— a permanent brand ensuring she would never forget what happened to her. She never sat at a gambling table, but she'd still traded her life for necromantic talent. Nobles paid her adoptive family well for it: resurrections, funeral rites, conversations with the dead. The work brought her family money and respect. It brought her nothing but travel— the only freedom afforded to her. Necromancy was hers only because they couldn't take it.
But when she meets a pale elf with some interesting features, studying him is easier than admitting why she sees so much of herself in him.

Summary
At the Shambali Monastery, it is customary for everyone to lend a hand. Human residents and Omnics work together, and tasks are distributed fairly. Unfortunately, this gives you and Ramattra a headache, because what are you - the monastery's cook - supposed to do with a grumpy Ravager as your kitchen assistant?
* * *
"I am not without my faults." When you catch up with Ramattra, his voice is less cold than before. You feel a little sorry for calling him arrogant - it's not like he chose kitchen duty. And to be honest, he'd probably be better off in the archives! "But I think it's an exaggeration to call me arrogant."
"We all have to work on ourselves a lot," you agree. "And we have to do things we don't like. But let's be honest -" You give him a sideways glance, which he deftly ignores. "Sometimes you think you're better than the rest of us, don't you?"
"I-" At first he seems to miss the soft, playful undertone in your voice, but then he relents. "Like I said, I'm not without my faults."

Yesterday, Linda was on her way to Target to buy a birthday present for her granddaughter.
Today, Linda is infected with some parasite in the most horrifying environment imaginable. Even worse, she's surrounded by a band of misfits: a magical bearded man who talks too much, an odd little Goth girl with bangs that desperately need a trim, an angry alien lady who won't quit sharpening her sword, a disturbingly pale elf who needs some bronzer, and a heroic young man with one eye.
This can't be real... can it? Surely she's having a psychotic break.
Tomorrow, she'll wake up and this will all be some kind of nightmare. She's sure of it.

Summary
You remember him the way he was when you met, the way you watched him grow up. Your teenage years weren’t beautiful the way they’re supposed to be. You were awkward in your own body, thick and clumsy and unsure. Wyll, however, was always graceful. His limbs lengthened, his voice deepened, and all of it seemed to happen so smoothly, at just the right time. He was pretty and he was perfect. Neat and tidy next to your messy tangle of string.
But you’ve knitted yourself together over the years, and he’s frayed a bit. Now you’re sitting on a beach together, making each other laugh. Feeling comfortable, impossibly so, even as your heart sits high in your throat. Feeling seen and understood. Feeling…a lot of things. Too many, more than you can identify.
You find yourself wondering how it feels to be kissed kindly, by someone who laughs at your jokes and knows things about your father and thinks you’re smart. By someone who’s thought about it before, for all that it may have been years ago.
…
Really, what’s the worst that could happen?

Summary
I watch Tav as she strides through camp, her fiery red hair flowing around her shoulders, sunlight glistening off her golden breastplate. She is strong, determined, and brave. The whole camp love her, the men tripping over themselves to be close to her, ready to follow her into battle at a moments notice. She is beautiful, the epitome of grace.... What a bitch
I shake my head, ashamed at my petty thoughts. Jealousy has always been a weakness of mine. But I cannot help but compare myself to Tav, everything I am not.
Surely there was a mistake? Why would the Dream Visitor help me? A 36 year old mother, her adventuring days behind her? I'm just a regular person, a nobody? What benefit could I possibly bring to this group of incredible heroes? There has definitely been a big mistake.

Summary
Rowena was bought, trained, and branded to serve a powerful man who preferred his weapons sharp and obedient.
She fixed the last problem with a dagger.
But freedom proved short-lived when a mind flayer ship crashed into the Sword Coast and left a parasite burrowing behind her eye. To survive, Rowena was forced into uneasy alliances with strangers she should not trust: a silver-tongued vampire who saw far too much of himself in her violence, and a wizard whose quiet kindness hid the kind of ambition that once nearly destroyed him.
Both men carried ghosts of their own—one haunted by a master who refused to release his hold, the other by power he was never meant to wield.
Both offered something she had never known before.
Neither came without a cost.
And as the road to Baldur’s Gate grew darker, Rowena would learn that killing her master had only been the beginning.
Because some ghosts refused to stay dead.
And some of them remembered exactly how to find her.

Summary
Just when I thought these trials were starting to get boring. I had done each trial more than once, rebirth wasn't available anymore either. Not that there was much for me to return to outside of this facility. However in recent times more strange things been happening during the trials. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't enjoying how strange recent events have been. Hopefully that doesn't bite me back in the butt.

When Lord Enver Gortash claims a bastard-born nobleman's son (Kade'solyn Southersby) as payment for his father's debts, he expects a pliant pawn: in public, a pretty face for a loveless marriage to improve his image, in private, his own personal political weapon to wield. A protégé forged by his own hands.
But Kade is not at all what Enver expects: half-drow outcast, idealistic revolutionary, scarred by years of neglect, he carries a steady flame of defiance Gortash can't seem to drown - nor resist.
Their relationship becomes a battle of wills and reluctant fascination as Kade learns to navigate the manipulative world of Baldurian politics under Gortash's cruel tutelage.
Yet even as he's forced to play the game, he refuses to surrender his conscience - or his belief that the man who once saved him might be worth saving, himself.

Summary
To the rest of the desperate adventurers, Raphael is a nightmare, a creature to be feared and resisted. To Morgana, he is her most favored critic. Their contract isn't about souls, but about stories. As the eyes and ears of the House of Hope, she translates the chaos into a narrative worthy of a very demanding patron.
But familiarity with a cambion reveals truths that terror hides. This is a collision of two ambitious, vain minds who find comfort in each other’s intellect, proving that the only thing sharper than an infernal contract is a sorcerer holding a pen. Morgana knows that beneath the theatrical monologues and the grand ambition, there is a desperate need to be heard. When you look past the fire and the rhymes, his life is a loop of lonely perfectionism.
Or:
Raphael is desperate for an audience, Morgana is desperate for her art to be remembered. A devil and his muse. A writer and her patron. Or just two souls who can find comfort in each other's mind and art.
