Summary
Lorsque Merlin quitte son village natal pour rejoindre la cité de Camelot, il n'est qu'un jeune homme imprudent, naïf et indécis, avide de découvrir qui il est et ce qu'il désire. Derrière cette insouciance se cache aussi un garçon comme aucun autre, qui porte un secret qu'on lui a ordonné de taire toute sa vie : un don de magie, que personne ne comprend et que nombreux redoutent.
Cependant, la nouvelle vie qu'il s'était imaginé à Camelot s'effondre lorsqu'il assiste à l'exécution cruelle d'un garçon de son âge, coupable des mêmes crimes que lui.
Hanté par la haine du Roi de Camelot envers les siens, Merlin comprend qu'il ne pourra survivre qu'en acceptant de vivre dans l'ombre du château. Mais nul ne peut choisir son destin. En sauvant malgré lui l'héritier du trône, le Prince Arthur Pendragon, sa vie se noue au fil d'une prophétie qui requiert de lui qu'il sacrifie tout ce qu'il est.

She isn’t blind. She knows Clark has a crush on her. Everyone at the Planet knows that.
But the problem is, the feelings aren’t entirely one-sided. She can’t afford to be distracted, god knows that. Relationships are messy and she’s never been any good at it. Still, the way Clark Kent is staring at her, all too serious, filled with too much wounding devotion, she fears what he’s going to say because she’s always thought he’s perpetually one step shy of declaring his feelings for her — and she doesn’t entirely know what her response will be. Lois usually has her answers for everything.
He steps forward. “I need to tell you something, Lois. Something I should have told you a long time ago.”
And then, moving slowly, deliberately, he takes off his glasses — and just like that, Lois Lane’s entire world tilts off its axis.

Clark kicks his feet the entire rest of his way back to the Planet, spinning gunshots and grandfathers and conversations between kids who don’t know any better through his mind until Lois’s coffee is practically cold.
Wrong place, wrong time.
Just got in the way.
He grits his teeth as the elevator doors to the Planet slide closed in front of him.
“Tell him nothing, Superman.”
That wasn’t how it happened.
