AU. Slice of life. The world is peaceful, there are not Cetra, ShinRa is just electrical, and ethical, no draining the planet, no BBEG. Materia exists but is harvested sustainably and safely and mostly used for practical or survival reasons. Aerith is reconnecting with the people she held so dear in another life, but doesn’t know them in this one, and doesn't remember her old one. She has the same strange recurring dreams of her past life (Canon-ish story) and doesn’t know why. She takes a job at her mother's shop in Kalm and meets everyone from her other life for the first time in this one. An unexplainable connection exists when they meet. Unspoken love carried through to another universe, so strong she and Tifa feel it like magnets on their souls. How will everything unfold? Will they make this life everything they couldn’t in the last one? Follow another thread of their lives. Slice of life/fluff/romance/some drama maybe. (But possibly the fluffiest shit you've ever read. I had to. It's like an unscratched itch and I needed it! Join me if you want all the Aerti fluff, and eventual smutty stuff when it develops to that point)

Summary
Secrets are just one of many things sabotaging Aerith’s relationships, even if she doesn’t quite realize the extent of it. Tifa, too, has her problems, but most stem from a single core that she can’t seem to identify. Or maybe doesn’t want to. It’s okay, though, they’ll help each other figure it out. It’s not like there’s anything else pressing in on them.

Edited for posterity: This takes place in an AU not far from the ending of FF7 with some retelling of certain events that took place during the story and our heroes trying to move on after Meteorfall. There's going to be worlds intersecting and characters meeting but these are one shots taking place in the same world. Chronologically they might not (read: probably won't) be in order. STILL VALID: I forgot I remembered how much I love flavor text at the beginning of chapters.
