Summary
Following an attack that revealed an elaborate plot to end his life and left him severely injured, Cross is forced to not only stop being Nightmare's bodyguard, but accept a bodyguard of his own. Nightmare insists that he'll need the protection while he lays low and waits for the situation to get resolved, but Cross isn't so sure. Even though he's decided to put up with it for Nightmare's sake, he is not happy about it.
The only thing that could possibly make this worse was if, by some insane turn of fate, his new bodyguard just so happened to be his soulmate.

Cross is a dedicated coffee barista who has built his own coffee shop from scratch. He takes great pride in providing his customers with top-notch products and personalized service. Cross's day starts early, with a 5 AM wake-up call to ensure that he has plenty of time to prepare for the day ahead. Once he's up, he gets straight to work, carefully roasting and grinding his coffee beans to perfection. Throughout the day, Cross is always on his feet, brewing up delicious drinks and chatting with his customers to make sure they're happy with their orders. Everything is a routine, until one day something or much rather some one comes limping through the entrance.
"We need to get you some medical attention," Cross said, trying to keep his voice steady.
Killer protested weakly, "No, no hospital's don't like 'em."

all main characters in this fic are harpy skeletons, some sides are skeletons or monsters, very rarely humans bc of the nature of the nearby villages.Nightmare is lonely, but he refuses to admit it. but upon finding what could be companionship, will he take the other in or will he turn them away? will he find a mate this year or sit in an empty nest once again?
