Summary

Everyone says that Targaryen's are closer to Gods than men.
Naerys Targaryen, the First of her name, and second daughter of King Viserys and Queen Aemma thought whoever said that was a foolish bastard. Being born two moons before the completion of her mother's pregnancy meant there was a death sentence hanging over her head, no one believed Naerys would survive a week. Maybe it was a gift from the Gods that allowed Naerys to live but to her, it was a cruel joke. Naerys' body remains weak, and the dragon egg put in her cradle never hatched. Naerys felt scorned by the Lords and Ladies of Kings Landing, they mocked her behind polite smiles and thinly veiled insults. They believed she was no true Targaryen, dragon less and weak. Naerys told herself she didn't care that they were beneath her but despite herself, Naerys couldn't squash the voice inside her mind that whispered they were right.
She was no Targaryen.
Little did Naerys know, the Gods had a plan for the Wild Dragon hidden beneath the skin of a frail girl.
