Positioning the kneeling cushion before his prayer altar, Nakyum knelt, leaning forward across the cold hard surface, waiting for the clock hands to reach north. A soft chime rang out at midnight and Nakyum tried to still his heart as it thudded, as his insides twisted with apprehension.
A mist filled the room, not thick or grey but that of an autumn evening across a field. It flowed softly, a river of mystic gold. And then the dark presence arrived with it. The demon chuckled, taunting from the very start.
“You are so very obedient, son of the church.”

The Birth of the Lamb is Hannibal and Will's shared past prior to meeting at Jack Crawford's office. One of the two men does not remember their history.
