Summary
Hunter and Luz find themselves trapped in the Emperors mind. Secrets meant to stay buried forever are dug up. But Hunter won’t believe them. He just can’t. And Belo’s will do anything to keep him close.
The only thing Hunter begins to see clearly is that human. She’s… kind. Why is she kind?
Sooner rather than later Hunter finds himself having to make a horrible choice, one that could destroy the world or himself or maybe even both if he chooses wrong.
So he picks, and that’s when the real nightmare begins.
(Note: this was supposed to be a villain Hunter au, and still kinda is! It’s far from canon and kind of hectic. That being said some characters might act a bit differently, but they will still have their most important canon traits)

Summary
Hunter Wittebane is a top student at NYU Stern Business school in the 90s — academically that is. Unfortunately, past trauma and social anxiety has kept him from succeeding in a way that his uncle — a mogul in the Christian Music Industry— finds acceptable.
Willow Park is also a senior undergrad (also at NYU) who manages the flower booth at her fathers’ four bodegas (Parks on the Park). As graduation approaches she has hoped to get accepted into a competitive Masters for Environmental Science -- during the day that is.
At night she’s the singer/bassist for the underground punk band The Emeralds.
When Hunter messes up the last of many disastrous interviews for a summer internship, he stumbles into The Owl House, a famous East Village rock club, rained on and desperate to find a payphone.
What he discovers is the key to his past, present and future.
And maybe even a chance at love.

Hunter cleared his throat, panic rising in his chest. He wasn’t exactly… on good terms with the human. Well, they had called a truce, and Luz didn’t seem to hate him, but that didn’t make them close or anything. It wasn’t as if they had the kind of relationship where they went to each other’s houses, so why was he here? This was a mistake, he had to leave, he had to-‘My name is Hunter. I’m... Luz’s friend.’
