Summary
Mark had always seen Nathan, in every way a person could be seen. He saw how starved he was for recognition that his father would seldom give. He saw the potential that hid behind those crazed eyes. He saw a child that was willing to do whatever it took to get what he wanted. Everything was fed to Nathan on a silver spoon, so this lust for acknowledgment wasn’t shocking. He’d gotten every camera, every car, every drug he wanted, no questions asked. Though he never received the one thing he truly needed.
Disclaimer- I do not ship mark with ANY of the minors, while this is true I do believe that he engaged in relations with both Nathan and Rachel before they were of age(more so Nathan than anything).

If it matters, he guesses it doesn’t, he in fact did not want to play hero. He actually didn’t want to think about why or how it happened, much less talk about it to Nathan Prescott.
