Is this even a game
If in the end I let you kill me?
I was never meant to be by your side
But in the end I won't escape from the sight of you
Half of me is half of you now
I'll have to cut myself in two~
Eddie despised everything about him, how perfectly composed he seemed in the face of their certain doom, how relaxed his stance was next to Eddie's, how he waved to the crying and cheering fanclub of girls that already mourned him and yelled about how this wasn't fair. Eddie hated everything that Steve Harrington stood for, he did. But still, once Wheeler asked them to shake hands and he faced him, he couldn't help but to be in awe, for just a moment.
Because Harrington's face was no longer blank. He smiled at Eddie. And not in any intimidating or cruel way. No. His smile looked deeply sad and there was something about it that pulled at a memory that Eddie had buried a long time ago.

Summary
When Steve finds himself as the last of his friends left in Hawkins with no suitors on the horizon, he agrees to let his parents set him up with one of their chosen alphas.
Adam is nice. Normal. But a year in, Adam is still dragging his feet about having kids, the one thing Steve asked for in their arrangement, and the fighting begins. When things get violent, Steve finds himself on the run, unknowingly putting himself on the path toward the Munson Rehabilitation Ranch and the small family that owns it. More importantly, he's sent barreling toward the owners' alpha nephew, Eddie Munson.
