When it comes down to it. Barty and Evan actually had a lot in common.
They started out from very similar upbringings. They both had abusive shit-head fathers, a history of acting out, and thus they were sent here. A boarding school far enough into the Scottish countryside to be out of the way for their socialite parents.
Out of site and out of mind.
But it was how they had adapted themselves to these circumstances that really made the two boys differ.
Evan had decided to follow the rules, or at least make a good enough impression of doing so. Keep his nose out of noticeable trouble, thereby limiting the amount of letters going home about him. His father might wish to forget his very existence but what he didn’t know was that the feeling was mutual.
Barty, on the other hand, was pure chaos. He had no qualms about making anyone's lives easier, making it easier for anyone to rid themselves of him. Once you were unfortunate enough to land someone like Barty in your life, you were kind of stuck with him. And he never made it a pleasant experience for any party involved.

One particular immature tongue-fucking session has him dreaming about his Hyung’s kissed-pink lips. It isn’t his fault Jimin has the mouth of a Bratz doll, but it is his fault for initiating something he absolutely cannot handle.
What starts as ‘practice’ slowly spirals into a chaotic situationship. Jungkook keeps coming back with increasingly flimsy excuses to stay in Jimin’s pants, and Jimin keeps letting him put his hands down them every single time.
For Namjoon, their proximity is a PR disaster and obviously his villain origin story.
Cue repeated ‘practice’, escalating tension, the horrifying discovery that this might actually mean something, and the slice-of-life chaos of Bangtan and a little love on the side.

~Or. Three years ago, in a Paris nightclub, James sees Regulus dancing and falls for him on the spot. They agree to start a relationship, knowing it will have to end when James goes back to London, on the condition that afterwards they go completely no contact. By the time it ends they're both heartbroken but stick to their agreement and lose contact.
Years later they are still NOT over it and make it absolutely everyone else's problem.
Until James is invited by Sirius to watch his little brother's band and finds his ex stood at the microphone singing an album worth of songs about their month together in Paris.
