"Are you the Barbarian King?” Shouto asked, a few weeks after they began meeting regularly.
It took Katsuki a while to process his words, briefly pausing the knife he was using to peel the apple and looked towards Shouto. He knows by this point, knows that Shouto wouldn't eat it if he doesn’t do it beforehand.
Slowly, he nodded his head.
“Oh…” Shouto isn’t sure what else to say.
The Barbarian King is meant to be scary and ruthless. He isn’t supposed to peel his apples just because Shouto doesn’t like the icky skin.

todobaku post-war bed-sharing fic directly following ch327 ft. angst and fluff and soft bakugo. I thought about the whole "so no one worries about me any more" and kinda ran with it a bit.
"He wasn't certain whose idea it was. His memory of that night is only of stuttering moments and general feelings - he had been too tired and panicked to record the memory in any accurate way. What had been clear was the rising and falling of Bakugo's chest under his fingers in the morning, and the glowing halo of soft spikes lit by the sun streaming through the curtains. And every evening after, Bakugo had shown up, unannounced, and kept him sane through the hours of the night."

No one had ever called him things like that before, and he’s grown tired of the polite but distant “Todoroki” or the angry or pitying “Shouto”. He wanted to be Katsuki’s princess. He wanted to be Katsuki’s angelface.
He wanted to be Katsuki’s baby.
Fuck. Maybe he just wanted to be Katsuki’s.
Or, five times Bakugou calls Todoroki a pet name, and one time Todoroki returns the favor. Featuring soft bois falling in love.
