Without another second of hesitation, Chris raises his arm like he’s back in high school, about to make the first pitch of the first game of the season, only this time, his dad is there and watching — and when he hurls his phone across the room with all the strength he’s got, he aims to hit his dad right between the eyes.
He thinks, vaguely, like it’s some distant memory from some other life, about all that nonsense Adrian had rambled on about earlier about killing ghosts.
But right now, he doesn’t have a dead ghost; all he has is a broken phone, judging from the way it sounds like it shatters against the floor upon impact, and probably a sizeable dent in his fucking wall.
Or: the trials and tribulations of banishing a shitty fucking ghost.
