Emet Selch is an esteemed sorcerer from a time long passed. A hermit by nature, he hasn't taken a protégé in centuries if ever, until Elysia Heliane shows up at his doorstep, pleading to study under him to get his help with controlling her sealed away magical powers. Despite his surly nature and curt dismissals, he relents after she persists. He seems to to see something in her, and she oh so reminds him of... someone from the past. Painfully so.
