Summary
For as long as he could remember Sanji had been fascinated by the idea of soulmates, one of his few good memories of childhood was the stories his mother told him about souls connected by fate, people rising above inconceivable odds to find one another. About how these two souls would be intrinsically linked, with each person completing the other. But Sanji also knew that there was no guarantee that you would ever meet your soulmate, in fact the vast majority of people would never find the other part of their soul. As sad as this reality was to Sanji it added to the sad beauty of soulmates, and made those who did find one another all that more special.
In a world where meeting your soulmate was rare and gaining a golden mark was mythical Sanji tries, and fails, to keep his expectations realistic.
