Then, the rest of it.
His already racing breathing is coming out in sobs within seconds. He runs a hand through his tangled and dirty hair and lets his face fall into his hands, too tired to even try to fight back the storm about to unleash.(In which Bucky misses Steve so fucking much he can barely breathe.)

Summary
There were children. On the street, across the roof where he was waiting for his target. There were two children, a ginger and a blond. The ginger was sitting on top of a wheeled board, while the blond held the end of the rope attached to it and pulled. The ginger laughed and laughed. He could hear it from up there.
The scene caught his attention so bad he missed his target entering the building he was supposed to be watching. He took him out in the end – but it implied two kills that weren’t meant to happen.
Not that he cares. Not that he can care. The mission was completed. That’s all he cars about. That’s all that he can care about.
(In which something triggers a certain memory for the Soldier and Bucky Barnes fights to come back.)
