The officer pulls out a picture that she turns toward Peter. It’s a little boy around four years old, with curly brown hair. “That’s you,” she says.
Peter shakes his head.
“Do you remember how you got to that park? Who left you there?”
“Lady, I don’t remember jack shit,” Peter says. “I was like four. No one remembers shit from when they were four.”

Summary
The door to his lab is closed, and Tony opens it, tossing his shirt, jacket and tie onto the couch and slipping his shoes off before he realizes that it’s far too quiet. He’s surprised to see the lab empty. Peter’s stuff isn’t even down there. Tony opens the fridge and sees that nothing is missing, not even caffeine-free soda he’s stocked in there for Peter’s sugar addiction. He hops back on the elevator and takes it up to the penthouse. The kitchen is also empty and spotless, not a thing missing from the pantry or the refrigerator, and no dishes in the sink. There are no signs of Peter having eaten anything today.

After six years of being in the foster care system, fourteen year old Peter Parker somehow managed to win an opportunity to meet his hero. The one and only Tony Stark.
“Not much of a talker is he,” Tony casually stated, making Peter stomach churn with unease. He had no idea where the man was going with his assessment and wasn’t really sure how to properly defend himself. Thankfully, he didn’t have to.“Peter has what they call selective mutism,” the social worker replied. “So, no. I suppose he’s not much of a talker.”
Tony leaned back in his chair and arched his eyebrow. “He doesn’t talk at all?”
“I’ve been his social worker for six years and I’ve never heard more than a peep out of him,” the social worker said, this time, turning towards Peter to offer him a reassuring smile.

"I am going to find Tony," the man hisses in Peter's ear, his gaze cold and cruel. "And when I do, I will kill him, slowly. What do you say to that-" The man stops short because Peter's shoulders are shaking, and before he can curl his lip in victory, he hears a snicker. When he lets go of Peter's hair, the teen's head slumps to his chest, but it's not out of exhaustion or defeat...it's to hide a smile.
The boy lets out a laugh, shaking his head before glancing to the sides admitting apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's just- it is so fun to mess with you!" He looks around before snorting, "Tony Stark? That's your play? You're not screwing with me, right? You actually thought that would work? Sorry guys." Peter straightens in his chair with a sneer and a cocky wink, "Tony doesn't give a flying crap about me."
In other words.... Peter is kidnapped and his captors think they can hold Tony against him. But they don't know what's happened in the past couple months.
