Summary
"You can’t be serious,” he says, but his voice lacks conviction, because everything about this situation suggests that the man is very serious.
Hands push him forward, downward toward the opening.
“Get the fuck in there,” the man says.
Shane resists for a second, instinct flaring. He turns around to give the man a piece of his mind, but the fucking gun is there, right in his face, and Shane is back to breathing manually again. The man is wearing a balaclava, worst of all, which means Shane could’ve looked at him at any point, have tried to escape at any point, and his fear about seeing the man’s face wouldn’t have mattered at all.
“Okay, okay,” He says breathlessly, and he turns around once more, looking appraisingly down at the crate. So he’d go in there. He’d be alright. He’d comply with the man with a gun, and everything would be fine. There probably wasn’t anything this man wanted that Shane couldn’t figure out.

Summary
Shane should be here right now, should be in Ilya’s house. Ilya should be teasing him about being picky while going through delivery options for food on his phone. Shane should be discovering that Ilya has ginger ale in the fridge and the protein bars Shane mentioned liking in an interview in his pantry. He should be making out with Shane on the couch, sneaking a hand into his pants, teasing him about whether they can beat the deliveryman and arrive before he does. Shane was supposed to spend the night tonight, the Montreal team not set to leave until tomorrow afternoon because of potential bad weather in the morning. Shane should be fed and showered and ready to curl up in bed with Ilya tonight.
But Shane is in a hospital.And Ilya is here.
He pulls up Jane in his phone again. He presses call.
“Hey, you’ve reached Shane Hollander-”
Ilya closes his eyes and lets Shane’s voice roll over him.

Summary
What might it look like if Will's memories returned before James's?
(okay there is now an unnecessary second chapter which is quite a bit different to chap 1 in terms of tone and style but that's okay)-
“Did you know, ‘Anharion’ wasn’t always your name?” Will says, as he traces his fingers along the hollow of James’s cheekbone, ignoring the way those lovely blue eyes glare at him. “It comes from the word an’haren—from your mother’s homeland, if I recall correctly—meaning ‘turned’. We both liked the sound of it, do you remember? You liked how my accent twisted the vowels, shortened them.” A puff of laughter leaves his lips at the old memory. “I thought the definition never suited you, for none of it was exactly your own fault. But then again...”
He moves to slip two fingers between soft lips.
“Given that you volunteered to follow me a second time, perhaps the name is appropriate after all.”
