“The spire is crumbling.”
What?
“It seems that the destruction of Master Shadow Milk’s souljam is what caused it, after all, he created it.” He was starting to feel a little guilty.
“But it’s not only the spire, it seems we are also crumbling. We are weakening day by day, Candy Apple and I are somewhat managing, but Master Shadow Milk… I don’t think he has much longer.” He's feeling a lot more guilty now.
Or, after Shadow Milk Cookie loses his souljam, the spire starts to crumble, and the deceit trio is suffering because of it. Pure vanilla decides to help and sees this as an opportunity for Shadow Milk to be his friend.
