“Oh, you are Yook Dong-sik’s boyfriend?” The male police officer asks, which makes In-woo wonder if he is deaf or stupid, given that’s just what he said but now he has the man’s name. Yook Dong-sik.
“Yes,” he intones. “I am Yook Dong-sik’s boyfriend.”
“Who-” A voice behind In-woo groans and he twirls around only to come face to face with Yook Dong-sik. The very awake Yook Dong-sik. “Who is Dong-sik?”Or the au where In-woo actually saw Dong-sik take the diary that night, before he lost his memory and now has to pretend Dong-sik is his boyfriend in an attempt to get it back. It's just for a few weeks after all. Then he can dump him and stage his suicide.

It was a bit of a laugh in the beginning, but he knows his only way out of it is a witch who'd possibly rather gut him than help him. However, the tales coming out after the battle of Sodden Hill have him thinking she might have learnt a little sympathy for the common man since last he saw her. And besides, she might not even recognise him anymore.
