Summary
Ever since he was a little boy, Hawks has always been drawn to a call of distress. It's in his nature; he can't ignore people in need of help. He's not sure how others can do it so easily, not sure how others can just sit idly by while people are scared and pleading for saviors.
Hawks will always fly toward them.
He admires Endeavor for striving to go futher beyond, past his capabilities to chase an impossible dream. So Hawks decides he'll also do the same--become a hero for the sake of others and use his puny wings to bring everyone a better future unreliant on heroes to save them.
No matter what the cost.
Or, a character study on Hawk’s unshakeable instinct to help others in need, and how far that instinct is willing to go.

Summary
“OW!” Tokoyami glares at his mentor, rubbing his arm. Hawks is pouting at him. Tokoyami narrowly resists the urge to shove him. “What the hell? If you can understand me, why won’t you let go?”
“No,” Hawks says childishly for the first time since he fell under the quirk’s influence. He retains his raptor grip on Tokoyami, who starts struggling to wrestle out of his hold. How the hell is Hawks this strong?! “Safe here. Tokoyami stays here."
“Oh, bleugh,” Dark Shadow grumbles, ignoring Tokoyami’s struggles in front of him. “She got the coddling part of him. This is gonna be a long day.”While on break, Hawks and Tokoyami get a distress call from a patrol dealing with a villain with a mental quirk. They rush to engage, but Hawks’ instincts get the best of him as he falls under the quirk’s influence. All of a sudden, Hawks needs to make sure Tokoyami is safe in the nest!
