This was what he hated about Dazai–he talked big, but when it came down to it, Chuuya was pretty sure he had no plan. He had decided to leave the mafia in a rush of anger and emotion, taking Chuuya right down with him, and now look where they had ended up–a shitty apartment in Musutafu, signed up to be unqualified bodyguards. It was an almost laughable situation, but this was life, this was Chuuya’s life, and he wasn’t sure what it would become anymore.
He hoped that was a good thing.
Or: Chuuya and Dazai both leave the Port Mafia together, and in order to get away from Mori they both get a job working as undercover bodyguards for Class 1-A at U.A. high school.

Morning chatter in the dining room was always loud and warm. Laughter, the clink of spoons, and a nervous excitement that always seemed to buzz before a show.
And Looey hated it.
The noise, especially, when he was already so anxious.
Looey sat at a corner table, legs bouncing just a little, their plate of scrambled eggs and bacon barely touched. The circus troupe might not technically be putting on a show every day, but this felt like performance prep all the same. The same flutter of nerves, the same longing to be good enough. His stomach was fluttering, he couldn’t think. His heart and head were pounding, hands sweating, trembling. He felt nauseous.
They picked at their fruit, eyes fixed on nothing in particular, unable to focus, until… something bright and cheerful landed in the seat beside him like sunshine wearing a grin.
