Their bard, right behind Geralt, decided to pipe up at this. “You know, you needn’t be worried about Thodor snatching up your boyfriend. He’ll be bored with him by tomorrow.”
Geralt’s heart dropped to his stomach. If his expression betrayed him in the slightest, the girls didn’t say anything. Playing dumb was probably his best option here, especially with Jaskier not too far behind. “I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean.”
“He’s deep in conversation with him, he can’t hear you,” reassured Vyrella, as if she’d read his mind. Even so, she brought her tone down to a whisper. “It’s about you, isn’t it? His song?”
“Lots of them are about me.”
