Summary
Humanity is at war with an alien Empire known as the Daxy. We are losing. Even so, the embers of resistance still burn. Two brothers far apart find themselves ensnared in the tightening grasp of the Empire’s claws. A soldier named Michael spends his final night as a free man, defying his conquerors till the very end. A Huntress is sent to end his rebellion, and Michael will have to learn how to live his new life under her control. Owen, his younger brother, bears witness to the cruelty that the Empire has fostered within these lizard women. Nothing goes as planned as he tries to reunite with his allies, and his beliefs are pushed to their breaking point. Anger, malice, and hate build as both navigate a world no longer their own. Romance blooms while conflict rises, and when the moment comes, each brother must face the hardest choices of all if they wish to find peace.
