This Sunday, Rosie awoke to a knock on her door. She threw a quick coverup over her night clothes and felt her teeth sharpen as she approached the door. It was a rude start to her day, but at least she'd have someone for breakfast after dealing with the disturbance.
She opened the door, and plans for black pudding with her tea fizzled out, replaced by a spike of fear her surprise couldn't quite trump.
"Hello!" The tall man smiled, eyes glowing red. Rosie looked him in the eye because it was the polite thing to do, even though her nose tried to pull her gaze to the smell of a fresh kill. "Alastor! Pleasure to be meeting you Miss Rosie, quite a pleasure, I've heard only good things!" The Radio Demon introduced, taking her hand in his own blood covered one and giving it a firm shake.
"Just Rosie is fine, dear." She replied, trying to determine whether this was going to be her final conversation. She hadn't thought herself powerful enough to draw the attention of the no-longer-aspiring overlord, and in the months since his rise he's yet to seem to care for anything besides power, so she really didn't know what could bring him here.

Merlin and Arthur 'count down to your soulmate's death' au where There is something wrong with Arthur's soulmate. It isn't what his dad thinks is wrong. His dad thinks, with a surprisingly genuine sympathy and sadness, that Arthur was tied closer to his duty then most any other king, as he'd never be caught up in the frivolities of love; after all, his soulmate would die only thirteen years after his birth.

Tim always carried pepper spray with him — always. Living in a city like Gotham, that was practically a given.
It was especially necessary when one was ten years old and currently sneaking around in the shadows of the night.
Something touched his shoulder, and on reflex, Tim pulls the trigger, before he can catch sight of green pixie boots.
Oh no!
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry Mister Robin, Sir! Are you all right?”
“What the fu- I mean frick, kid?”

It’s almost eerie how much these nights mirror each other. Only this time Tim’s pepper spray is joined by a knife.
But it’s not Robin he attacks this time, it’s a weird guy in a red helmet, and the spray can do nothing against that!
Tim is sure he’s never seen helmet-guy before, so why does he know Tim’s name and insists on helping him out?
Or: Tim goes out at night to take photos of the Bat’s. Twice, he meets Jason. Only once, is it Robin. But Jason’s suddenly two feet taller and wearing a red helmet. Something’s clearly wrong here.
