Summary
After dropping out of his FBI internship, Stiles returned to Beacon Hills, struggling to outgrow the version of himself high school forced him to become.
He wasn't sure what he was doing with his life, but he kept busy among the shelves at The Reading Nook, letting the quiet and routine distract him from the memories.
And then Derek Hale walked in.
Derek being in his life again stirred a hunger inside Stiles, a wanting that consumed him whole. It left him breathless, filled with a love so fierce it clawed at his chest and threatened to tear him apart inside.

Summary
Stiles has a good life. He has a great job, a great husband, and he's happy in Virginia. The pack is doing fine under Scott's leadership back in California. Aside from the grisly murder scenes he sees on cases, Stiles' life is actually pretty perfect. Which is of course, when everything goes wrong.
Basically Stiles is part of the BAU team, and the Nogitsune returns. Mind games ensue. There are not nearly enough crossovers where Stiles is on the team, so idk here you go, brought to you by the voices in my head. Also in this fic Stiles and Derek didn't get together until Stiles was well into college, because I think canon-era Stiles/Derek is really creepy.

This piques Stiles’ interest. Oh yes it does. Like any good true crime aficionado, Stiles has his favourite case. His pet cold case. His hometown murder. The thing he brings up when he’s tired of small talk and just wants to get real.
The Hale Family Fire and the suicide of Katherine Argent.
Stiles knows this case inside and out. He’s racked up thousands of karma points on reddit for his thoughtful analysis, his pictures of the crime scene, and of his reporting of local gossip. Beacon Hills is a small town, small enough that Stiles is the only one on the Unresolved Mysteries subreddit to have actually seen the burnt out shell in person.
He’ll tell anyone who listens what he finds fascinating about the case. Absolutely no shame. He’s read all of the articles, he’s pestered his father’s deputies for more information, and he’s read every cold case compilation book that so much as mentions it.
No one knows this case like Stiles does.
