After the events of Malleus overblot (book 7) students are getting the school in order and exams are getting started. One day while Riddle was studying for an ancient magics exam he activated a spell turning him into a squirrel. He is now being taken care of by Floyd as his pet? The two now work together to find a way to turn Riddle back to his human form but something unknowingly blossoms between the two of them. <3

Summary
Paraprosdokian: (n) a figure of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected in a way that causes the reader or listener to reframe or reinterpret the first part.
After a series of incidents of strange behavior from Floyd, Riddle seeks answers and finds things are somehow much simpler and more complicated than he could've predicted.
A companion piece to my main fic, Atramentum, but can be read independently.

Summary
Azul nearly dropped the teacup he was placing down. He considered himself someone who was able to keep his calm in most alarming situations but right now his expression gave away to his clear shock, eyes wide with disbelief as he stared at the boy sitting on his private study couch.
“Would you mind repeating that?”
“I came to offer an equivalent exchange in order to receive your permission to court Floyd.”
“C-” Azul choked on the syllable.
Riddle comes to Azul with an offer and ends up getting far too many people involved in the whole ordeal.

“Bye, Goldfishie~ See you later,” Floyd whispers, gently taking Riddle’s hand and pressing a soft kiss onto the back of it. Riddle’s eyes widen in shock as his breath hitches, his face blooming into a rosy red.
