This is the follow-up to The Night Has Seen Your Mind.
I just wanted to write some Stucky h/c but this, well, I'm not saying there's none of that, I'm just saying that's not really what this is. Never could do things the easy way.
This is Bucky in from the cold, fresh off a triumphant escape from HYDRA, but stuck now with the aftermath. His arm is busted, he has 75 years of cumulative damage to deal with, HYDRA's vengeance includes releasing the files on his missions to the world and whipping up sentiment against him, he still has implanted conditioning to reckon with, and he's a YouTube sensation.
Steve has to handle his confusing career status, the unfinished business he and Bucky left behind decades ago, and the whole idea of having personal feelings and, like, relationships and things.
Natasha is still coming to terms with life as not-a-spy, and her own implanted conditioning.
Sam Wilson is perfect in every way but sometimes exasperated. His job is not easy. His personal life is even less easy.Series

Summary
Back in the 21st Century, Darcy Lewis tries to understand who she is and where she belongs.
With Jane and Erik occupied, Bucky dead and Peggy suffering from Alzheimer's, Darcy understands how truly alone she and Steve are after a 70 year time jump to the future. The two build a bond and try to come to terms with Darcy's involvement in his past while both overcoming the loss of their companions.
Merging Thor 2, Captain America 2 and a little bit of Iron Man 3 together.
