One too many pretty drow putting powdered mushrooms in your wine?” He refused to be the first one to shy away. He wanted Halsin to break, to act out in front of everyone. He wanted to see the man turn beast in the middle of the elf song taproom. But the pressure in the front of his trousers was becoming distracting.
Halsin laughed, low and rumbling in his chest, “I suppose I don’t drink for the same reasons no one ever sees you without a shirt, despite your vanity.”
“How about this: I’ll show you Cazador’s best bedside manner, and you teach me all the nasty words you remember in Drowish.”
“It’s not Drowish,” Halsin pointed out matter of factly, but his voice was still low in his chest.
“Just say ‘yes, master,’ and let's get out of here. Unless you want to continue to sit here bashing each other over drinks you won’t indulge in.”
