“They can’t,” Castiel whispers, careful not to disturb the child in his arms. There’s no halt to the melody when Cas speaks, it continues unbidden and beautiful into the night. “Jack’s not human.”
“Yeah? What does that make me?” Dean’s been through the wringer a few times, but he’s pretty sure he’s still human.
Castiel actually looks up then, startled. “You—you can hear me?”

Sam rolled his eyes but did what Dean said, squeezing himself into the backseat as Cas took the front seat. “Is this because of the yawning comment?”
Dean shot Cas a wink, who smiled in reply. “No, it’s because Cas gets boyfriend privileges now.”Or, after Dean and Cas get together, Cas reflects on the ways Dean's behavior towards him has changed.

Summary
