“Forward, Giorno.” He corrects. Giorno continues to write. “Don’t fool yourself with moving on. You have to move forward.”

Fugo’s chest hurt. Hope, it turned out, was more painful than heartbreak. He took a deep breath.
“What does that mean, GioGio?”
“It means I’d like us to find out together. I’d like to at least try.”

"Giogio? What are you doing? What's wrong?" She asked.
"I think I'm not breathing." Giorno realized he didn't take a breath to speak.
"You have to be breathing," she frowned. "You're alive."
It was at that moment Giorno became very certain that every single word of the letter was true. He wasn't alive, if his understanding of vampires was accurate. He couldn't keep food for alive people down, he couldn't keep something that was alive in his body. With horror, he realized Vuitton had hit an artery, after all.
"I'm fairly certain I'm dead, actually."
