Summary
Laura, Carlos, and Santiago move into the old orphanage on the coast of northern Spain. Laura grew up in this orphanage, and she has spent years dreaming of restoring it. Santiago is seven years old, and he is adopted. He has HIV, and his immune system is weak. He cannot play with other children, so he spends his time alone, inventing games and imaginary friends. His team, Sanborn and Eldridge, thinks he is crazy. He takes risks that no sane person would take. He removes his protective suit to feel the sun on his face. He cuts wires with five seconds left on the timer. He walks towards bombs that other men run away from. Today, they are called to a market where a car bomb has been discovered. The bomb is complex, with multiple triggers and a dead man's switch. Sanborn tells him to back off and wait for the robot. Daniel walks towards the car.
