Summary
Being part of the Wakandan King's Guard was a job Bucky never thought he'd fall into. But apart from the uniform, it was a great gig, especially since he got to stare at Captain Steve Rogers when the changing of the guard occurred. The same Captain who six months earlier promised him the night of his life then disappeared, ignoring him after.
So when Bucky ends up on duty with Steve, he wasn't expecting to be recognised, nor was he expecting a rogue intruder to interrupt his less than platonic thoughts.
First save the palace - second get the guy?
Or was there some other plan in motion that Bucky didn't know about?

“Buck, look,” Steve snorted, bumping Bucky’s shoulder and pointing at the menu board. “So, if I’m a Cappuccino, I think that makes you a Babyccino.”
Bucky huffed out a breath that Steve knew meant an amused laugh. “What the hell is a Babyccino.”
“No fuckin’ clue,” Steve grinned fondly, “but it sounds real cute, so it fits.”
Bucky just gave a tiny roll of his eyes, but Steve could tell he was pleased by the way the tips of his ears flushed ever so slightly.

If asked, Bucky Barnes would say he was a modern day adventurer; roaming the world collecting and cataloguing relics for a living, his only help, his enigmatic assistant, Natasha. Sure, it was a lonely life, but it was hard to meet people in his line of work, so he survived on random hook-ups, not needing any more than that.
But when he meets the handsome stranger Steven in Puerto Rico, everything changes. How on earth could a man like Steven exist, and not only that, want Bucky? One scorching hot encounter later, it all went to hell.
Earlier that day, Bucky had discovered an alien artifact, unwittingly becoming a target to a rival collector. A rival who wanted Bucky's find and wasn't asking for it nicely. In fact, Bucky was suddenly running for his life, without even the chance to say goodbye to Steven. And just when Bucky had given up hope of survival, it's an Avenger who comes to his rescue. Captain America himself.
Yet, why was the hero acting funny and stand-offish with Bucky? Why wouldn’t he take off his mask, and why did he seem so damn familiar?
Cue a bunch of misunderstandings, alien technology that won’t quit and two stupid boys who can’t see what’s right in front of their noses.
