The sound of air escaping Denki as he fumbled his hands onto the door and dashboard harmonised with the radio static jumping stations every time he accidentally shocked it, numbers flickering up and down until Hitoshi moved his hand sideways and turned it off. That left the high-pitched, building panic in Denki’s throat even more audible. Hitoshi braced.
