Summary
In the northern reaches of the kingdom stood the ancient estate of House Kang, where the banners of the Grand Duke stirred against a gray and solemn sky. Its halls were broad and magnificent, but they were not kind.
Young Lord Kang Yeosang, third son and youngest issue of the Grand Duke, moved through those corridors like a shadow too gentle to disturb dust. His beauty was of a soft and princely sort—dark lashes lowered over clear eyes, his mouth often touched by a smile too mild for the cruelties it concealed. He loved this world but the world denied him...until he meet his fate.

“Why endure bad treatment of that house?”
Yeosang looked toward the west chamber.
“Because one doth survive storms by bending.”
Wooyoung’s expression shifted - something unreadable, almost pained.
“And if the storm means to uproot thee entire?”
Yeosang smiled faintly. “Then I pray Heaven grants me swift ending.”
For a moment, silence. Then Wooyoung stepped near enough that candlelight caught his strange, luminous eyes.
“Pray not for ending, little lord.” Wooyoung's voice had deepened. “Pray for vengeance.”

Summary
Turning into a vampire, San learns, doesn't always necessarily mean a blood-drenched life in shadows.
Sometimes it just means to help a five hundred-something year old man figure out how to unlock a smartphone, or to calm down an even older guy during history lectures because apparently, the prof got it all wrong, and all the history books are rubbish!
Admittedly though, turning into a vampire can be confusing. San still needs to figure out a lot of things about himself and the other guys who call themselves his new family. And it gets even more confusing once he notices another student with sharp fangs in the lecture halls and excitedly tries to get closer to him, ask him about his vampire story and all that – except Yeosang gives him really, really weird answers. As if he doesn't want to talk to San, even though they are clearly the same kind.
It's frustrating, to say the least. And just gets worse when, at the same time as trying to convince Yeosang to open up to him, San also needs to protect his bloody little secret from that other guy who is being way too nosey. Not that Wooyoung gets the memo to back off. At all.
