Buck was too preoccupied with Christopher wiping at his face to notice how long Eddie had been away from the table and only finally realized when Chris glanced in the direction of the front.
“Who is dad talking to?”
Taking a second to fully wipe the mess away from his face, Buck turned to follow Chris’ gaze and immediately found Eddie, back to them as he talked to another man wearing jeans, a burgundy tee shirt beneath an unbuttoned black suit jacket.
“I uh, I’m not sure.”
