And look: this whole thing could probably be resolved with a single honest conversation. He’s sure that with a little communication they could all manage to come to some arrangement. In fact, Patrick is pretty certain that he could fix their marriage himself by finally getting them both into bed at the same time. But Art is extremely reticent to voice what he actually wants, and Tashi can’t do anything without making it into a game, so here they are, each sneaking into Patrick’s bed and pretending that they’re mad about it.
Patrick has no problem voicing what he wants or being direct. He wants Art. And he wants Tashi. If they could get their shit together and realize that they both want him, too, he’d probably be the happiest man in the goddamn world.

Kinkalot 2024 Bingo. Breath play.
While on a night patrol in the castle, King Arthur hears a stranger approach, knowing all should be asleep, he jumps the stranger, choking them against the wall but finds Merlin instead, who seems to be enjoying the grip on his throat a bit too much. Arthur thought this was going to be a one time occurrence before it happens again, two weeks later.

Arthur was at his wits' end when he caught Merlin walking out of the tavern, which led him to make a horrible mistake, one that proved to be the last straw for Merlin, who decided there was nothing else to do but publically quit his job and leave Camelot in a huff.
Arthur never realized how much Merlin did for him-- or for Guinevere-- until he was gone; neither he nor his wife realized just how integral Merlin was to Camelot... and to their marriage.

Summary
The druids are not convinced of Arthur’s acceptance of magic. Since he is already married to Queen Guinevere, he can’t reassure them with a political marriage. But what about a consort with magical abilities?
Merlin is happy for Arthur and Gwen, even though his heart hurts everytime he sees them and he tries to pull away from them, he is not their friend after all, he is just a servant. Watching them from afar is hard already, but how can he stand to watch Arthur doting on a royal favourite, a consort.

Summary
All Merlin was expecting was a night off, maybe he'd have a glass of wine or read a book later, but for now he was content to sit by fire with his mending. He wasn't expecting a surly Arthur to come back to his rooms hours before he was due, his foul mood caused by some stupid Lord or other laughing at the surprising fact that (or at least Merlin thought so) the Prince was still a virgin. Even more surprising was that Arthur took Merlin's advice on the matter, arranging a tryst with a recently widowed Lady so-and-so, only for him to realize too late what a stupid idea that was.
Since he can't cancel now, Arthur demands Merlin teach him everything he knows about sex, which definitely isn't another stupid idea and definitely won't lead to at least one (or both) falling in love.
