Summary
He had played so many characters that he could barely remember himself without them. Couldn't recall his life before all the masks, before he had customized his being for each person he talked to.
It was never difficult, per say, but it had never been this easy before. He had never been able to slip into the right persona so quickly.
It was just a means to an end, he told himself. Just another face he put on to achieve his goals.

Summary
As a traveler across the greater infinite universe, using aliases and many names seems to be quite beneficial. Laying low and keeping to oneself is often a very necessary survival tactic. Which means, leaving a paper trail with one single name would be suicide. So, many aliases are used.
But with this, comes a desire to be known. What a terrifying ordeal it is, to be known. To have someone that can see you, the real you, and through you, when pretending to be something you're not. How awful. But how interesting...
