Summary
Kendra Wright and Steve Harrington were best friends from the age of five until Steve got in with the popular crowd at Hawkins High and Kendra joined drama club. The once inseparable pair were suddenly running in very different crowds and basically became strangers. But in 1983, tragedy strikes the small town of Hawkins. With Will Byers missing and the town in a frenzy, the two cross paths again. They find that it's surprisingly easy to fall back in step with each other. The more time they spend together, the quicker their curated facades begin to fall. As their bond transforms, so does their peaceful little town. With danger seeming to lurk around every corner, fate leads them to team up with quite the unlikely crew to stop those dangers from consuming Hawkins. Will this journey bring them closer? Summary
The Yiling Patriarch, menace to the cultivation world, is finally dead. But there were many who knew Wei Wuxian as more than that. This is the story of one of those people: Nie Kexin. As the cultivation world celebrates the death of who they saw as the biggest threat to them, Kexin and those that knew him well mourn the loss of a friend, brother, a hero. More or less this is just a retelling of the story with the addition of my oc. It is mostly canon-compliant (except Nie Zonghui is still alive cause I love him) but I'll be combining the different adaptations depending on which I feel works better. That being said, it will take a lot from the novel for timeline wise. Kexin is all mine though. If I find myself enjoying telling her story enough I'll likely write AUs and canon divergent stories for her as well.
