Story begins during the Pilot episode timeline, no convergence on the circumstances of the characters. Lorelai is still coming back into her parents world after a long estrangement, so that she can get money to send Rory to Chilton.
Alternate Universe is that there is a secret sex hierarchical society hidden in the world of Gilmore Girls, overseen by a regulating body - The Society. The details of The Society will be revealed throughout the story (and parts I haven't uploaded yet and/or I'm still writing).
