What exactly had happened? Jabber had broken up with Zanka. Having told him that despite the fact he had been into him and liked him, he just didn't see it working out in the forseeable future, mainly because of Jabbers own personal interests not being aligned in wanting to live a lovey-dovey life.. and feeling like he couldn't give that to Zanka like he knew he was wanting since that just wasn't his style.
At least.. that's what Zanka proceeded to explain to both Enjin and Gris when the two came sniffing around to check on him after Gris helped Follo finish cleaning the main room, having obviously noticed he wasn't really as 'ok' as he initially'd tried to say when he first got back.
The news-- struck Follo as if he'd just been hit by lightning.

Summary
Gris never harbored a particular inclination to deliberately get drunk. Enjin, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. He's the type of person who drinks for pleasure, and he's been blessed with the immense misfortune of not being able to handle more than two bottles before he starts losing his shit.
Knowing him as he does, Gris should already know that a drunk Enjin never bodes well.

Summary
The logical part of Gris’ mind supplies the important piece of information; Enjin is drunk. He’s always drunk when he turns up at Gris’ door, clothes hanging from him as though he can’t get them off quick enough, body slumped in the doorframe, mouth slanted, and voice mumbling from the copious amount of alcohol Enjin’s drunk that night.
No matter how many times Enjin professes he can hold his own, Gris, and the other cleaners know he’s the lightest of light weights to ever exist on the Ground.
And Gris should push him away. Should walk Enjin to bed and tell him to sleep it off. Should tell Enjin he’s drunk and not sound of mind.
But he doesn’t.
He never does.
Enjin only ever seems to be interested in Gris when he's been drinking and Gris knows he'll always wake up to an empty bed.
Always.
Until he doesn't.
