    After a good ten-or-so minutes of searching for various items in their kitchen, Ran puts his hands on his hips and grins, satisfied. In front of him lies some of Rindou’s favorite snacks, including a package of mini donuts, a ramune bottle, and the choco-mint Pocky that was originally for Ran. He had even written a note to match Rin’s.

    He sneaks one last glance, admiring his work, before retreating back down the dim-lit hallway and into his room.

    Kazutora's mind spun, his heart lurched, his feet followed after the twirling gang leader.

    "I'll look after you now, Kazutora," Mikey uttered as he gestured to an open car door. "Forever and ever. I promise I'll never let you go again."

    Kazutora had just wanted to close up the pet shop, he'd just wanted to get home, to curl up with Chifuyu and pretend as if the day hadn't been stressful and long and far too cold. He hadn't wanted to end up pressed against a wall, hot breath fanning across his cheek and cruel fingers twisted around his throat.

    He hadn't wanted to face somebody that he'd thought he'd left behind so, so long ago.

    At 32 Rindou realizes that he's trapped in the glasshouse that is Bonten's headquarters. Nails scraping on the windows of his prison, he wonders when everything had become so...brittle.

    “Now you can eat,” Ran said, shoving his bowl gently toward him. It had cooled down a little, but it wasn’t completely cold yet. “It was getting cold.”
