Finally, the first light of civilisation any of the marching bugs had seen in months was visible just over the horizon. The ringing of the bells halted, as the group’s leader stopped. A sign infront of them had only one character they understood, and even then it was written in a foreign style. But the character revealed that they had finally reached their destination: The Kingdom of the White Wyrm.
The veiled bugs picked up the runed cage again, and the bell chimes continued in rhythm to their march.

Vincent’s problem was always the same: he wants.

Getting is secondary, underwhelming in comparison to the thrill of wanting. Of chasing. When he found something he wanted, he pursued it single-mindedly. He made a plan, he pulled his strings, he put every piece of the puzzle into place. That was when he was on top of the world. Receiving his prize was little more than a participation trophy, and by the time he got it he had usually already found another want. Want, want, want.
Sometimes, at night, he wondered if his luck would run out, and when. What happened when he met someone he couldn’t charm or bully into giving him what he wanted? It has been a long time since she has even had the attention of a man, let alone a charming one such as Alastor finds herself desperate for his validation and starts seeing the man beyond the skin.
But the other is not all his charm and smiles, he is a ruthless killer and cannibal.
But perhaps Victoria could live with that, even perhaps enjoy the others past-times too?
