There's a charged silence that fills the room, one that Stratt seems unbothered by. The implication of my words hits me like a freight train as I feel my face flush a faint red. I didn’t mean like that, I wanted to say, but the words barely came out of my throat before she stood up. For a moment I was about to follow her, thinking she'd leave the room in a haste of annoyance and I'd be left behind in the dust, like I was nothing but a dog with a bird between my teeth waiting for her to acknowledge me, but she didn't leave.

Summary
Grace is more than a little pent up after so long aboard an aircraft carrier with nothing to do but research. It's not a big deal, until it is, and he becomes a problem that Stratt takes it upon herself to solve.
It's almost like a challenge. I've never really been that good at rising to the challenge, but something's changed about me in these past few months. I clamp my legs around her thigh for a hint of the touch I really want, and a little gasp punches out of me.
"So you can behave yourself." Stratt says smugly, and I glare at her, probably ineffectively given my current position.
Blood rushes down my body, regardless.
"Yes." I say- why do I say that?
Why? Because she smiles.
"Good boy."
