Summary
A hundred years ago, the misted isle of Avalon vanished from the world, and its druids with it — the wind-speakers, the healers, the Old Ways. The realm remembers them only in winter stories.
Then one dawn, the sea brings a half-dead stranger to Katara’s shore. His skin is marked in spirals no one can read, and when he wakes, he calls her by a name she has never been given.
Priestess.

Summary
“And here I thought you were just a handsome face.” It took Aang a moment to realise that Katara was talking to Appa and not to him. It took significantly longer for his heart to understand the same thing, and it hammered against his chest with a rapid rhythm. “Such a brave boy.” She looked up at Aang again and added, somewhat shyly, “You’re very brave, too.”
“Oh, I—thank you. So are you.”
He had no idea why he’d said that.
When volunteer search and rescue handler Aang takes Appa to the new vet in town, he doesn't anticipate coming face-to-face with the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. It starts with an awkward appointment and, somewhere along the way, turns into coffee dates and late-night calls.
Then a callout goes wrong. Suddenly, it's not just his heart on the line.

Summary
Where others are peaceful and content, I am a restless storm, kicking up sand and silt in my wake. I have been unable to sit still ever since I was awoken over a decade ago. My fingers dance at my sides, my knees bob under my robes, and my mouth craves laughter more than food. My mind wanders to cliffsides and temples when I’m meant to be grounded inside of palace walls.

Since toddlerhood, Aang has been brought up in the Fire Nation, raised alongside Zuko and Azula as the Fire Lord and Lady's adopted son. Though he often feels like the black koala sheep of the family, his love for them overshadows his trepidations. On the eve of his brother's twentieth birthday, however, Aang's world is shaken by a fated encounter, leaving him to question if his role as a royal can be reconciled with his duties as the Avatar.

Summary
Aang feels all stupid and mushy for the tenth time this week. He asks her to stop for a second, hugs her warm and safe in his lap and Kya rolls her eyes, good-natured, fists curled against his chest.
“You’re really good at that,” he says, running his index finger over the starlit patterns she’s given him. Of all the ink on him, hers is by the far the best.
“I know.”
“Ah, you have your mother’s humility.”
Eight-year-old Kya really likes filling in Aang's tattoos with markers. He really likes being her dad. He likes the love of it all, of adoring Katara and making dinner and laughing and spinning.

Summary
She’s grinning. Oh, she’s certainly had dreams like this before.
“But I really… wanna help you," Aang murmurs.
“Keep talking.”
“And if your hands are bothering you…” Oh, she likes the way desire paints his face clever, paints him coy. “I could be your hands.”
Dealing with a serious nerve injury, Katara hasn't been able to use her hands for months. She can't waterbend, or write, or... do other stuff. What's a girl to do?
Or: the one where Aang is so, so down bad for his roommate and has no idea how to ask if he can help.
